Neve Jewels Limited (trading as Diamonds Factory and Austen & Blake) Company Registration No. 06453160 | Financial Year Ending: 31 March 2026
1. Introduction
This statement is published in accordance with Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It details the actions taken by Neve Jewels Limited (“the Company”) during the financial year ending 31 March 2026 to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or any part of our supply chain.
The Company confirms that its total annual turnover exceeds £36 million for the period, mandating the publication of this statement.
2. Our Business and Structure
Neve Jewels Limited is a specialist diamond jewellery designer, and retailer headquartered in the United Kingdom. We operate via two primary brands: Diamonds Factory and Austen & Blake. The Company is part of the wider Neve Jewels Group; this statement covers Neve Jewels Limited only and does not extend to other group entities, which publish their own statements where required. Our operations involve the global procurement of precious metals and gemstones, the manufacturing of fine jewellery(predominantly through our manufacturing partners in India), , and direct-to-consumer sales through digital and physical retail stores across the United Kingdom.
3. Our Policies and Ethical Commitment
We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. Our commitment is governed by the following internal framework:
- Anti-Slavery Policy: Explicitly prohibiting forced, bonded, or involuntary prison labour.
- Whistleblowing Policy: Providing a confidential channel for employees and partners to report concerns without fear of retaliation.
- Supplier Code of Conduct: Setting out mandatory standards for labour rights, health and safety, and environmental responsibility.
- Ethical Sourcing Policy: Focused on ensuring diamonds are sourced via the Kimberley Process and from conflict-free regions.
4. Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
The Company recognizes that the gemstone and precious metal industry carries inherent risks of modern slavery, primary processing stages, and within lower tiers of the supply chain in regions with weaker labour protections.
To mitigate these risks, we perform the following:
- Supplier Vetting: A modern slavery self-assessment questionnaire is being introduced as part of the onboarding process for new suppliers, with phased rollout to existing Tier 1 suppliers during the next financial year.
- Contractual Clauses: Our standard terms of business include "Anti-Slavery" clauses that allow us to terminate relationships immediately upon discovery of human rights violations.
- Traceability: We prioritize suppliers who are members of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) or who provide certified conflict-free diamonds.
5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
To measure the effectiveness of our efforts, we monitor the following metrics:
- Training Coverage: Target of 100% completion for all procurement and HR staff.
- Supplier Compliance: 100% of Tier 1 suppliers must have a signed Code of Conduct on file.
- Incident Reports: All reports made via whistleblowing channels are investigated within 30 days.
6. Training and Awareness
We provide mandatory training to all employees involved in the supply chain and recruitment. This training covers:
- How to identify signs of slavery or trafficking.
- High-risk geographic regions and materials.
- The procedure for escalating concerns internally.
7. Board Approval
This statement has been reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors of Neve Jewels Limited on 25/05/2025.
